Zen guides:

forgiveness is really just a mindfulness tool, a means of continuously returning our mind to the present moment while refusing to make the past a living energy right now. In this way, too, we clear the way towards a future innocent of our most fearful projections. The mindful way of forgiveness sets us free from past events and places us firmly here, now, and deeply established in the presence of love.

forgiveness truly offers everything we want.

requiring only that we practice.

continuously so.

and this is much easier than we might think, with an entire lifetime to practice and an abundance of people who kindly step forwards to be our present teachers. Our every encounter is virtually a zen lesson offered through forgiveness, opportunities to release ourselves from all previous judgments and leave our notions of the past behind. There’s not even a reason to perfect this, as even a little effort provides a gentle smile towards the ego and edges us ever closer to a sense of freedom.

so we can be truly grateful for these encounters.

zen guides, all,

offering us a return to the innocence of each moment.

always, right now.

~

Love, Eric
